I love traffic!

Yes, traffic! Not the traffic jam in the road with heavy volume of cars but traffic in my sites. I want to spend a day in my computer and focus on my online task and tweak my blogs. I am very tech challenged and no matter how much time I devote myself to increase my traffic, still I'm having a hard time analyzing what other procedures do I need to achieve the page rank for my sites. I am thinking about ppc management. Social traffic seems to be very low and it produces only little percentage as seen in my analytics. I got more traffic from search engine. Maybe, I should be more serious with this campaign to be able to achieve my goal.

Family Time #2

We always spend our weekend at mall and that's our family time together dining in a restaurant. You will seldom see us at home during weekend. On Wednesday, school vacation will officially begin and we cannot frequent mall anymore. I have no summer activity plan yet for my children but most probably, I will enroll them in a swimming class to refresh their skills. Anyways, this is my Family Time entry number 2. Yey! I am sharing here our weekend in Tagaytay. Other photos were already shared in my previous entry so I chose only some for this meme.

Before heading Tagaytay, we went home in Batangas and had some fun with their cousins. They're playing with toy guns here.

Weekend Blog Follower Caravan #9

Hi there fellow Bloggers. I'm glad that Weekend Blog Follower Caravan is back. I should grab the chance now for this could be my last chance to join. I am glad to be part of this community. Weekend Blog Follower Caravan is a weekly meme for bloggers to help and share one another. This post has been sleeping in my draft from the start of Weekend Blog Follower Caravan as it reached to WBFC #9. To start, I need to introduce myself and discover other bloggers too. This, I find to be the hardest post for me so I'll share few words about me. I'm using Mommy Nuts as pseudonym, but I'm not really a nutsy mom. I'm a mom of two girls, ages 12 and 10. I started blogging for more than two years now, Embrace Life, as my homepage blog. I blog to journal my daily activities. Blogging gives me more opportunities, aside from earning, I met wonderful people around the net.

Family Time: A t Powerbooks

I was invited by a blogger friend to attend a launching of new series of book, Private Iris, and because my kids are book lovers, I immediately confirmed my participation together with my kids. Weekend or any day of the week is family time for us as long as we're together minus husband who is not around and works abroad. But thanks to Skype for keeping us updated all the time. During weekend, I make it a point that we go out together, dine in a restaurant and have bonding time like doing our groceries or shopping. It is not always a mall time weekend for us. When we're home at weekend, I always cook for them or watch TV together. I am sharing some photos below during the launch of Private Iris at Powerbooks. The kids enjoyed a lot, had cup cake party and books.

New Apartment

I just settled all the bills yesterday. A huge chunk of our budget goes to our house rental. I am not complaining about it. If I may compare the rental around the city, ours is much lower considering the place we are living. We are near to university, mall and other urban center. Yesterday when I settled our bill, the landlady told me that they have ongoing construction of high rise apartments available for occupancy in the next three months. She showed me the fully furnished model for those who may want to inquire. I have sighted uttermost lighting that make it more appealing to me. The vanity mirrors added a more sophisticated appearance to Spanish inspired unit. Students, young professionals and those who love a very homey yet hotel like ambiance would find it more impressive because of the set of furniture carefully chosen by the owner. They are known as the best apartment builders and they choose only the best location in the city.

By just looking at the model unit, I can already tell that one of the priorities of the owner of the house is lighting. The contemporary lighting was fully lighted when we dropped by in the place. When I got home, I immediately emailed a friend looking for an apartment for rent. If moving would only be easy for us, I definitely will reserve a slot. We are also tied up in the contract and if we did, we will be charged for a whole year amount of rental.

Brilliant Color for Flooring

This picture was taken last year while my daughter was making her project. If you could notice, the flooring of our house are simple tiles. I've always wanted a flooring with design and the tile colors that one would notice once he/she enters the house. Since we are only renting, I cannot renovate the flooring because we are tied up in the contract. We are not allowed to alter anything inside the house and that includes the flooring and the wall. I want to ask a proposal from Floor company that provides quality flooring but that's all I could ask for now. I only inquired about the estimated cost for superior flooring. Although white indicates cleanliness and universal color, white also gives a boring and no appeal for me. Oh well, that's my opinion. What color do you prefer in your flooring?

Music of my Heart

Because I'm late, I want to share two of my favorite love songs of my heart. Don't worry, these videos are not set to autoplay so you'll have the chance to pick. If you want to play them both, just go ahead, dear. I actually have my list of love songs (everything i do, iris, with or without you, if ever you're in my arms again, when i'm gone) when I have no task to finish and just want to spend lazy days snuggled up on a couch. The first one was shared by a friend. I love the music and the lyrics stuck on my mind. Whenever I hear the music playing on a radio, I can't help but.. feel them deep in my heart.

Gold is a good investment as it never depreciates its value even when inflation rises. You can keep your gold for years, it just sits there, never earns interest but the value of it rises as the years go by. Don't be fooled for those who are offering huge amount of money for it could be part of scam and just using tricky words to get your gold. You do not want your gold to end up melted for nothing right? It is always wise to check the background before you even start to make a deal for your precious gold.

I am deeply saddened

with yesterday's 8.9 magnitude earthquake in Japan. Mommy bloggers from Japan were needing prayers and for all who were deeply affected by tsunamis and earthquake. Yesterday, I was actually shocked while watching and hardly believed it was actually happening. Meanwhile, a blogger friend Jes with her two kids was on her trip going to US yesterday and had a stop over in Japan. She and her kids were already out of the airport building and on their way to boarding on the next plane, going to Arkansas when earthquake happened. She felt the earth was shaking but was not really aware about the real impact and the damage the earthquake had caused until she reached US where her better half was anxiously waiting.

Let us all offer prayers for all the victims of earthquake and tsunamis and that soon Japan will recover from this tragedy. Earthquake really is unpredictable. Japan is adapted to earthquakes and is the most earthquake-prepared country, if not, the damage could have been worse. My prayers to all the families of the victims..

Customized Blinds

What could be more practical these days than choosing modern yet affordable blinds? I say it more than nth times that I always wanted to buy either roller blinds or vertical blinds for our living room but up to this time, I haven't installed any of them. I've ordered one from a friend who is into selling different types of window blinds. I should have ordered it online instead. If it didn't arrive this week, I might cancel it and place order in another store since I was told that it will be delivered right at my doorstep ETA today. I am actually eyeing now for digitally blinds . Oh well, if it didn't arrive in my extended time, definitely, I will order the one that can be customized with my own photograph and my own design.

Special Screening of Independent Film "Ganap na Babae"

I was invited to watch the special screening of an independent film Ganap na Babae (English Title: Garden of Eve) in celebration of International Women's Day last night at U.P. Diliman Film Center.

Ganap na BABAE is a film that tackles different issue concerning women directed by Rica Arevalo, Ellen Ramos and Sarah Roxas. This is a trilogy about three women of different stories; a prostitute, two sisters, and a widow.

In "Ina" episode, a woman (Mercedes Cabral) shares her soul as a prostitute in front of the camera. A survivor, she looks back at her life as a mother. Milagros (Sue Prado) and Elena (Jam Pérez) "Kapatid" are sisters tilling camote (sweet potato) in a dry land. Poverty provokes Elena to migrate as a mail-order bride in Japan while Milagros stays to take care of the family. Eos (Boots Anson Roa) in "Kaibigan" is a widow who falls in love with a younger man, Rodrigo (Rome Mallari). They try to make the relationship work amidst the pressure of their family and the society.

The actresses played a perfect role in the story. I regard it as a privilege to watch this kind of movie looking at a deeper meaning of Ganap na Babae. Ganap na Babae (Garden of Eve) is produced by HUBO Productions, Inc.

New Printer

I need a printer that is reliable and has a long lasting ink. I have two daughters who print a lot for their school projects. The old printer that we used for three years has already retired of its service. When I brought it to a repair shop, the service man told me to just purchase a new one since the cost of repair would cost me a big amount which is almost equals the price of a brand new printer. I am considering of buying printers online as they offer different brand of high quality. I wouldn't have much trouble anymore with my printing business, err personal business because I am thinking of using it for business card printing too.

Smart buyer needs to look for a cheaper value including cheap flyer printing. I just browsed the site available online with many options to choose for quality printing. I don't just recommend the site that gives cheaper service because I am afraid about the quality that most companies offer in exchange for cheaper printing service. I'm glad with what I have just discovered. I know, if not now, I can recommend this site to my friends where they can use for their own business printing too.

Ruby Tuesday: Too Cute

Just too cute to pass this meme without sharing what I have spotted one Sunday while me and my kids were walking down the mall. It looks like stuff toys. The owner of these two dogs must have spent much money for spa, salon and hair coloring of their beloved pets. Now I am thinking if these outfit and hairstyle suit my pet too.

If all the leaders and the nations discover Ilchi lee's universal philosophy on self healing and personal development, then the world would be a better place for us.
